Yesterday morning was not an encouraging time for me – I struggled with computer issues and someone blatantly deceived me and I was in the kind of mood then so that seeing the garbage along the sides of the road added to my upset\/depressed state. BUT, then I shared with my sweet hubby and he prayed for me when we sat down to lunch. Then I remembered I had had an encouraging conversation with a very humble man who is staying at our guesthouse. He is a bigwig and could have chosen to throw his weight around, but he didn’t. He was pleasant and reassuring about the inconvenience of having 4 men stay in one room (there were beds enough, but typically if an important person comes to stay, they have their own room). THEN, I was given the gift of this scene on the horizon at sunset and I was reminded of a conversation I had years ago with the then 3 year old Benny Turk. He pointed out the lavendar up in the sky, and he asked me, “Aunt Aleta, do you like purple?” When I said yes, that it was close to being my favorite color, he said “God paints the sky like that just for us”. Yes, God paints the sky just for each one of us. He wants us to delight in the world around us! \u00a0He wants us to take heart and be encouraged because HE LOVES US SO MUCH!!!
