\u00a0As a Catholic priest, working in East Africa, he begins his journey in this book with wondering why, after 100 years in the area, there is no Masai church, no body of Masai believers. \u00a0There are hospitals, schools, good works, but no healthy, growing in the faith Masai. \u00a0He decides to commit \u00a0to\u00a0visiting, consistently, \u00a0a certain group of villages, without taking anything with him. \u00a0No lure of medical treatment or lessons on reading, just a\u00a0commitment\u00a0to talk about God and how a relationship with Jesus changes lives. \u00a0Some comments in the book will border, for many I am sure, on the heretical, but the overall idea and the results that came about are worth the read and worth the thought and prayer that must result from seriously considering his approach.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=1325&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This book by Donovan, written in the 70&#8217;s, is quite the thought provoker!
