Nearly\u00a040,000 Rohingya people who were driven from their\u00a0homes now live in the refugee camp. Rohingya people\u00a0are an ethnic group who practice Islam. They have faced\u00a0persecution because of their ethnicity and religious\u00a0beliefs. Conditions in the camp are bad. Because of the\u00a0large number of people, there is limited food, water,\u00a0shelter, and medical care.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Law Eh fell off a truck while it was moving and broke\u00a0his leg. Because refugees are not allowed to receive\u00a0treatment from the local government hospital even\u00a0though they are Burmese citizens, Law Eh could not\u00a0get medical help. Besides this, Law Eh is a part of the\u00a0Rohingya people who are constantly living under the\u00a0threat of violence. It would be very dangerous for him\u00a0to leave the confines of the camp. As a result, Law Eh\u00a0suffered in severe pain for two weeks with an untreated\u00a0broken leg until he could be seen at a clinic set up and\u00a0sponsored by Covenant World Relief.<\/p>\n<p>Sadly, stories like Law Eh\u2019s are all too common. Without the clinic sponsored by Covenant World Relief and other ministries like it, the sick and injured would not receive care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>REFLECTION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Share what you think life is like for Law Eh. Talk about\u00a0what it is like to be hated just because you are part\u00a0of a particular group of people. Reflect on how this\u00a0compares with the fact that God made all of us and\u00a0loves all of us. Find Burma on a map.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We can pray for Law Eh and all the Rohingya people\u00a0who are at the refugee camp. Pray for healing and\u00a0for hope. Pray for others outside the camp to show\u00a0kindness to the Rohingya people.
