At times I think that all I do is talk about great things that are happening with different partners around the world, and while I whole-heartedly believe in the good works that CWR partners are doing, there is something else that I think is also important to consider.<\/p>\n
Anne Lamott wrote in her book Plan B: Further Thoughts on Faith<\/i>, \u201c\u2019Help\u2019 is a prayer that is always answered. It doesn’t matter how you pray–with your head bowed in silence, or crying out in grief, or dancing. Churches are good for prayer, but so are garages and cars and mountains and showers and dance floors. Years ago I wrote an essay that began, \u2018Some people think that God is in the details, but I have come to believe that God is in the bathroom.\u2019\u201d I like this. It is a reminder that prayer isn\u2019t something that happens once a day, or something that can only happen in a specific place. Instead, prayer is a constant and daily conversation with God. So, I ask that you pray. Pray for CWR partners around the world. Pray for those in war torn nations like Syria and Burma. Pray for the women of Jitokeze in Kenya, pray for those coming out of slavery, those still trapped, and their captors. Pray for partners like Water1st as they continue to work with communities to build wells and educate others about the importance of clean water. Pray for partners like Truthseekers who work tirelessly to assure those in the lower castes of India that they are important in God\u2019s eyes, that they are beautiful, and they are whole. Talk to God, ask questions, and consider the work that is being done around the world.<\/p>\n
