The new school year is in full swing in Thailand. With the start of the new school year brings many changes. For the Tutorial Learning Center (TLC)<\/a> in Nan, Thailand, that means growing in size. The TLC now houses 20 resident students. Three students have transitioned to high school, which entails a much longer commute across the district. The high school is 20 kilometers (over 12 miles) away, and with that distance brings new challenges. The other 17 students are still located at a middle school, a five minute walking distance away. Teachers at the middle school are continually encouraged and impressed by the work ethic of students from the TLC. These students continue to work hard both in the classroom and out.<\/p>\n
