Below is a prayer request from a Covenant Missionary in Taiwan. Please remember our brothers and sisters in prayer.<\/p>\n
Hello prayer partners,
\nIt was just over a month ago that we requested prayer for Taiwan and
\nthe thousands of people left homeless from the devastating floods.
\nMuch progress has been made in clean up and many Christians have gone
\nto help, donated much to the relief effort and prayed often for those
\nhit by the tragedy.
\nWe are now facing a similar situation from typhoon flooding in the
\nPhilippines.\u00a0 The capital city of Manila and the surrounding districts
\nhave been devastated with flooding the last three days.\u00a0 Pasig City, a
\nsuburb of Manila and home to our sister church, Jesus Covenant Church
\nhas been badly flooded and the water is staying in the low lying
\nareas.\u00a0 While the church is not flooded, many of the members houses
\nwere flooded, some up to eight feet of water.\u00a0 Paster Jhun Peji’s
\nhouse is still flooded, sitting in waist deep water. The floods came
\nso fast that nothing could be moved and just about all of their
\npersonal belongings have been destroyed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 He and his family, are
\nliving at the church until the water recedes.\u00a0 Another coworker has
\ntaken refuge in the church also.
\nAs you can see, we need to pray for our brothers and sisters in Pasig
\nCity.\u00a0 They really need an extra measure of grace and strength in the
\ncoming days.\u00a0 To my knowledge everybody from the church is safe, but
\nas you have probably seen in the news, many people have died.\u00a0 Please
\npray for all of the people the Philippines effected by the flooding,
\nthe rescue workers, the relief efforts in the coming days, and for
\nmany Christians to step up help with clean up and\u00a0 share the love of
\nJesus in this way.
