href=\"http:\/\/www.covchurch.org\/relief\/projects\/cd\/india-holistic-community-development\/\">India for Christ Ministries<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" husband Venkataramana live in a very poor village with their two daughters, ages two and thirteen.\u00a0 They were deep in debt, which left them feeling hopeless.\u00a0 They worked for years as field laborers, struggling to survive and make ends meet.\u00a0 Oftentimes, though, there was not work available in the fields, and without education, they had no other option for employment.\u00a0 Without work, they could not provide food or education for their children.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><span style=\"line-height: 19px\">With a small loan from IFCM, Lakshmi and Venkataramana were able to buy a small plot of land and began growing tomatoes.\u00a0 The harvest so far has been decent, so they have made a small profit.\u00a0 With the profit, they were able to buy two bulls to aid with their farming.<!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><span style=\"line-height: 19px\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1865\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Srinivasulu-and-Adiamma-with-their-tailoring-machine-300x270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"168\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cwr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Srinivasulu-and-Adiamma-with-their-tailoring-machine-300x270.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cwr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Srinivasulu-and-Adiamma-with-their-tailoring-machine.jpg 443w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 168px) 100vw, 168px\" \/>Srinivasulu and his wife Adiamma came from a very poor family.\u00a0\u00a0 Added to their struggle was the fact that Srinivasulu was often very ill and could not support his family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"> <\/span>After much prayer and support from his church, he was healed!\u00a0 He was also baptized and is now involved in ministry with the pastor at his church.\u00a0 With a small loan from IFCM, he was able to buy a sewing machine and makes a good living by tailoring and stitching clothes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1868\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Story-3-Reddy-Basha-at-his-tea-shop-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cwr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Story-3-Reddy-Basha-at-his-tea-shop-2-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cwr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Story-3-Reddy-Basha-at-his-tea-shop-2.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/>Reddy Basha and his wife Bhanu had a very poor outlook on life.\u00a0 Reddy Basha was very sick with kidney issues, and doctors told him he would not survive.\u00a0 After two months of prayer, though, the Lord miraculously healed him and he was baptized in the church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"> <\/span><span style=\"line-height: 17px\">A<span style=\"line-height: 19px\">fter receiving a loan from IFCM, Reddy Basha set up a small tea shop in his community.\u00a0 The shop has been very successful, and Reddy Basha has been sharing his story with all who come in.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><span style=\"line-height: 19px\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><span style=\"line-height: 19px\"> <\/span><\/span><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-1869\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Story-4-Kondamma-from-Venkatarampalle-ST-Colony-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"210\" height=\"158\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cwr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Story-4-Kondamma-from-Venkatarampalle-ST-Colony-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cwr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2011\/08\/Story-4-Kondamma-from-Venkatarampalle-ST-Colony.jpg 533w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 210px) 100vw, 210px\" \/>Kondamma, an elderly widow, has been working with her daughter as field laborers for years.\u00a0 Field labor is very inconsistent, so they were continually struggling to survive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 17px\"> <\/span>ICFM provided Kondamma with a small loan, which she used to start a small business raising chickens.\u00a0 She has made a small profit and is now able to support herself and her daughter.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These stories and pictures bring life to the work of CWR and help us remember that we do more than give people loans \u2013 we show them the love of
