{"id":489,"date":"2011-10-31T12:11:41","date_gmt":"2011-10-31T18:11:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/clauson\/?p=489"},"modified":"2011-12-05T14:19:11","modified_gmt":"2011-12-05T20:19:11","slug":"trip-to-seattle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/clauson\/2011\/10\/31\/trip-to-seattle\/","title":{"rendered":"Trip to Seattle"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>From the earliest days of the ministry of the Family Development Foundation in Monterrey, there has been a strong connection between the FDF and the state of Washington. \u00a0Through John and Letha Kerl, the founders of the FDF, there has been a faithful cluster of prayer and financial support tied to the Pacific Northwest. \u00a0In October, I had the opportunity to travel with Claudia and Sandra, the new co-directors of the FDF, to visit churches and individuals from Seattle all the way up to Bellingham, WA on the Canadian border. \u00a0It was a special chance for Sandra and Claudia to share first-hand how God is working in Monterrey in and through the FDF and especially during this violence-riddent time, and to express thanks to people for partnering with the FDF.<\/p>\n<p>This trip was also an empowering time for all three of us as we were able to participate in a two-day leadership training workshop with<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_559\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-559\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2011\/10\/PIC_6583.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-559 \" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2011\/10\/PIC_6583-300x199.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"199\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/clauson\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2011\/10\/PIC_6583-300x199.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/clauson\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2011\/10\/PIC_6583.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-559\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Nils, Sandra (and baby Diego) and Claudia with Nancy Hoffman, Ken and Karen Wagner in Mt.
