class=\"p1\">In Chicago we reconnected with our beloved community and the place that was home to our little family for 5 years. \u00a0We attempted to get our new visas and went to the Lego Store. \u00a0We ate at our favorite restaurants and played at the park with friends. \u00a0We celebrated Father\u2019s Day with some of our favorite new dads and were able to worship with our home church community. \u00a0We went to the eye doctor and Trader Joe\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4508-e1500497584271.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-635 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4508-e1500497584271-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"676\" height=\"901\" class=\"p1\">In Detroit we spent time with Chris\u2019s family and explored a state park. \u00a0We hunted for school shoes at an outlet mall and spent sweet hours running around with cousins. \u00a0We connected with supporting church partners at Gather and saw many friends serving the church around the globe. \u00a0We were ordained and consecrated. \u00a0We were prayed over and were overwhelmed by love and support from our family and friends.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4587-e1500497528390.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-638 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4587-e1500497528390-768x1024.jpg\" class=\"p1\">In Otter Tail we \u00a0went from pj\u2019s straight to swimsuits and we took boat rides. \u00a0We slept in and stayed up too late. \u00a0We ate dessert after every meal and snuggled the newest member of our family. \u00a0We had water fights and watched sunsets. \u00a0We had no agenda and we played and we rested.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4628-e1500497647554.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-632 size-large\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4628-e1500497647554-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"676\" height=\"901\" class=\"p1\">In Minneapolis we played with more cousins and ate s\u2019mores around the backyard fire pit. \u00a0We ran lots of last minute errands and packed up eight 50 pound bags. \u00a0We did laundry and we ran to the post office. \u00a0We ate one more burrito from Chipotle and had to hug grandma goodbye.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/cjhoskins\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/124\/2017\/07\/IMG_4699-e1500497672274.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-631 class=\"p1\">Home. \u00a0A word, an idea, a concept that has become a bit difficult to define or pin down since our family made the move to Ecuador once again. \u00a0And an experience that I know is shared by so many who have left family or land or language or friends or house for the unknown &#8211; be it around the corner or around the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It was so good to be home for 19 days. \u00a0And now it is so good to be home again. \u00a0Both \/ And. \u00a0And as hard as that sometimes is, there is no where in the world that I would rather be.<\/p>\n<p
