A memorial service took place at 10 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Colonial Acres Health Care Center in Golden Valley. Graveside services were conducted at 2:15 p.m. Monday.
Dokken was born March 12, 1917, in Aneta, North Dakota, the daughter of Ole and Minnie Almaas. She attended Lutheran Bible Institute and graduated from the Vocational School of Nursing in Fargo, North Dakota.
She married her husband on June 7, 1942. He served pastorates in churches throughout the Midwest. Together, the couple ministered in Covenant congregations for more than 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Geneva Eliason, Edna Eversvik, and Myrtle Almaas. Survivors include daughters Myrtle Anders of Wichita, Kansas, and Ruth Johnson of Waite Park, Minnesota.
