There are so many times that I am absolutely blown away by God’s goodness and faithful action in our lives and this is one of those times!\u00a0 Jesus told his disciples that they would do greater things, He told them too that there was a harvest awaiting them and us: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. <\/span><\/span>Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matt 9:37-38)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The harvest in Mozambique\u00a0is indeed plentiful!\u00a0 Our churches in Mozambique are growing and reproducing at an amazing rate.\u00a0 We have three new church plants being inaugurated in the next\u00a0few weeks!\u00a0 The amazing thing is that not only are these churches being inaugurated there are several more small groups are on their way to becoming new churches.\u00a0 We are reaching out into the border of Zimbabwe and into Malawi!\u00a0 There are 27 of these groups that are being nurtured into becoming mature churches …27!!!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

On top of all this there will be a National Pastors Conference in the region where all of these\u00a0new churches are being raised up. Please pray for these churches, small groups and for the Pastors Conference.<\/p>\n

God is indeed great!\u00a0 He is gracious to His children.<\/p>\n

Pray that these churches continue to grow, that people are brought to the Lord, and that God would be glorified in all that we are doing in Africa.\u00a0 Pray for our leaders!!!\u00a0 Pray that God would continue His work in their lives as they continue to spend their lives in His service.\u00a0 Pray too for our family as we continue to raise support!\u00a0 We still need 20% of our budget!\u00a0 You can be a part of what God is doing in Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi when you send us!\u00a0 Please join us in this amazing ministry!!!\u00a0 FIND THE LINK TO GIVE AND GO FOR IT!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two men eventually moved to the States and began a Hispanic church in Los Angeles. Alex worked with\\\/helped lead the (Rolling Hills Covenant) high school group, and thought he would always live in the USA. When Global Ministry began, Alex went to Mozambique with a group from their church. While there, God worked in his heart, showing him the need for his presence in an overseas setting. For the last six years, Alex and Melanie have led the Global Ministry at Life Covenant (Torrance CA), a ministry focused in the country of Mozambique. Begun in mud huts without electricity or water, the ministry now includes two orphanages with water, electricity, and teaching facilities. A group of believers meets at each orphanage. The ministry is all Mozambican-led by leaders with a passion for caring for orphans, addressing the needs of poverty and injustice, evangelism to identified unreached people groups, and the development of biblicaly sound churches. To date, nine churches have been planted, and two more are in process. With the goal of living into a holistic ministry, Global Ministry has begun several self-sustainment projects. Gardens have been planted, and local people maintain a chicken farm and a corn and rice milling business. Because Global Ministry is led by all Mozambicans, Alex and Melanie will be their first full time missionaries. Most local pastors have just a 6th grade education and little or no theology or Bible education, so Alex and Melanie will help provide that training.
